The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that no new workplaces will be created to cut costs.


The government's announcement has raised the question of whether TNPSC exams will be held among the candidates.

When inquired
by the TNPSC, TNPSC said that the exams are for vacancies and not for new jobs and hence there is no ban on conducting exams.

However, the number of Group 4 and Group 2 workplaces is declining due to the number of new hires, according to TNPSC.

Based on this, it is expected that the Group 4 workforce with 9,438 employees will be reduced to two thousand jobs and the Group 2 workplace with 2800 jobs will be reduced to one thousand.

TNPSC has already announced that 10 thousand jobs will be filled this year.
