3 year old boy struggles for life after falling into deep well

Govardhan, who lives in Patancheru, Telangana State, is living with his wife and 3-year-old son at his father's house in Pochanpalli village in Medak district.

Govardhan's father, Pixapati, dug three deep wells on his farm last week. Due to the lack of water in it, he decided to shut it down today and carry out the work in the evening. The family was also present.

Govardhan's 3-year-old son, who was playing in the area, slipped into a 120-foot deep well at 5pm. The shocked family reported the incident to the police and fire department.

Immediately after, police and firefighters began the rescue of the boy. Another well has been dug near the deep well where the boy had fallen and the boy was summoned by Borewell.

Meanwhile, as the night is over, the lights are still on and the rescue operation is ongoing. Oxygen is being pumped to prevent the boy from suffocating in the cavity.

District Collector Dharma Reddy and Superintendent of Police Chandana Deepthi were present at the scene and are overseeing the rescue operations. The boy may have been caught 25 to 30 feet deep, the district collector said.
