Mamata Banerjee says the central government should not do politics with Corona
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said the central government should not be involved in the coronation issue.
Prime Minister Modi today consulted with all state leaders on the video footage of the curfew as corona is spreading across the country. Various state chiefs have expressed their views and demands.
Speaking at the meeting, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said her state was doing its best to prevent corona spread. International borders, surrounded by large neighboring states, pose a major challenge to Corona's impact, he said, adding that the central government should not be involved in such a crisis.
Mamata Banerjee said the federal government should respect federalism and that India would be the only India with equal importance to all states in the prevention of corona.
Recently, the central government has accused the West Bengal government of downgrading the corona. Political observers think that Mamata Banerjee was speaking at today's consultation as a response.
